The museum is the only of its kind in Sweden. Preserved in the museum is Sweden's oldest papermaking machine, dating from 1872.

Shows the development of the Swedish missile technology from WWII up to today

'Sala mine has been Sweden's richest silver mine and silver was taken from the mine for more than 400 years until work was stopped in 1908. The museum offer visitors descents to the 60 metres level year round. The museum offer the visitor also a film show, special arrangements, ground exhibitions, bus tours in the mine area and the rest of Sala.'

Shows some 60 old tractors and 40 stationary engines that have been used on farms in Sweden

The collection consist of about 8000 works. The temporary exhibitions, about 10 to 15 a year, mostly present Swedish Contemporary Art.
