Exhibitions on three floor. On three floor of the building, the visitors will start go on a pilgrimage through Swedish history, the Viking era, the Middle Ages, the Thirty Years War, Sweden's "Age of Greatness", Swedish Carolinians and the 19th century . The second floor is devoted to the 20th century and e.g. the Swedish neutrality. On the ground floor Exhibit of the history and development of artillery through the ages.

'Junibacken is a world for children. The building is full of tales and mischief in Villekulla cottage and children’s stories where Sweden’s best-loved children’s characters come to life. The first place is the Storybook square, home to many of the best-loved figures in Swedish storybooks, elves and trolls, the children of Frostmofjället mountain, the famed detective, Ture Sventon and little Alfie Atkins. There is a Story train, bookshop and also a café and restaurant.'

Exhibitions of Swedish architecture

In Swedish only. Shows botanical gardens with over 9000 plants. Most important sections are herb garden, the botanical parks, Victoria House, Edward Anderson's greenhouse, fruit and berry plantations.

Exhibit collections of Scandinavian mammals and birds in their natural, ecological habitat. The museum building was built in 1893 to a design by architect Agi Lindegren who was inspired by the medieval Norwegian stave churches

Birka was a trading port twelve hundred years ago and became Sweden's first town. Birka and Hovgården is listed as World Heritage. Today Birka is a popular site for excursions. The website consist of information for visitors, The Birka Museum, Seasonal program, History of Birka and Excavations.

Founded in 1655 and is the oldest botanical gardens in Sweden. About eleven thousands species and cultivars are under cultivation. The sections are economic plants, rock and arid gardens, stone troughs, peat beds, annual beds and areas for research and education. There is an orangery with a Tropical Greenhouse with species from the warmer climatic zones.

Exhibit 20th century sculptures and paintings of Bror Hjort that was a very influential Swedish artist.

In Swedish only. Carl Eldh lived between 1873-1954 and is one of Sweden's most famous sculptors.

The collections of Dance Museum illustrating the dance, drama, art and music of different continents and civilisations.

The collections consist of hundreds of thousands of objects from all over the world, from China, Japan, Korea, South and South East Asia, Oceania and America

In Swedish only. Zoological exhibitons of stuffed animals and skeleton, fossils and collections of prehistorical vertebrates from all over the world.

'The butterfly house is comprised of 800 square metres of tropical environment and has about 400 butterflies of numerous different species. The museum also includes a Birdhouse with 100 birds of about 40 different species that fly freely in the subtropical environment. The museum also includes about 300 sq.m. large Winter garden with Mediterranean climate and an Asian Garden with Asian, Chinese and Japanese influences.'

The Gustavianum was built in the 1620th to be the main building of Scandinavia's oldest university. Shows the history of Uppsala University

'A private palace with well preserved interiors and large collections of art as well as handicraft. The Museum has a numerous rooms, the large quantity of objects and furniture.'

The permanent exhibitions are divided into six sections, The Gold Room that shows treasures from the Bronze Age to the 16th century, The Prehistoric Times Exhibition, Vikings with more than 4000 objects, The Gothic Hall that shows one of Europe's finest collection of sculpture, triptychs and other objects, The Textile Chamber, Treasures.

The museum was founded in 1987 by its former director Aron Neuman, who together with his wife Viola provided the funds necessary to get the museum started. The aims that were set up are to show the history of the Swedish Jews, - the adaption of the Jews to the Swedish society and their contribution to culture, art, literature, trade, industry etc - the culture and religion of the Jews, their manners and customs, in the synagogue and in their homes
