The Vasa is the world’s only surviving 17th-century ship. The ship is displayed in a museum in Stockholm. In the large purpose-built ship hall stands the warship Vasa - the only remaining,

The largest museum of the Swedish Armed Forces. The museum aims to show the history of the coastal defence and especially with focus on the defence of the Archipellago during the last 500 years.

The museum display the artistry by Bertil Vallien and Ulrica Hydman-Vallien, Sweden's most internationally known glass artists. The collection consists of glass, ceramics, paintings and design. The museum also exhibit contemporary art presented by national and international artists. In a exhibition hall called The Northern Hall are art from a big private collection of contemporary Swedish art, called Rasjösamlingen, exposed.

An open-air museum that aim to provide insight into the everyday life of the people who lived in Gotland during the Viking Period. The reconstructed Viking village contains Long Houses, Blacksmith house, shops and craftmen's houses.

The Viking village Storholmen is an open-air museum and aims to reconstruct buildings and environment from the 11th century.

Skäftekärrs Iron Age Farm and museum illustrate how it look like at a great mans farm in the Iron Age. The museum's exhibitions emphases upon the Iron Age in northern Öland.

The museum is an information centre for Tanum's World Heritage. The purpose of the museum is to reflect upon the rock carvings of Tanum.

International centre for rock art documentation. The rock carvings in Tanum constitute a priceless part of our cultural heritage of mankind and have therefore been included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

The oldest preserved museum environment in Sweden with authentic exhibits from the 1880s. Shows Swedish birds, mammals and a remarkable collection of seed samples from Swedish native flora, a world famous bird collection from Namibia and South Africa, Egyptian antiquities, glass and porcelain from Europe and China, 19th century paintings.

The museum is divided into five sections and each section is focusing on a theme that reflects the breadth, depth, variety and dynamism inherent to the concept of world culture.

A museum of broad cultural history. The museum includes a warehouse, built in 1982, which contain 300.000 objects and around 200.000 archaeological finds.

The largest of the museums exhibitions tells the story of Västervik as a port. The museum also displays local crafts and industries: glasswork, brass, founding, a marine engine workshop, stone-masonry and matchmaking. Information in English available.
