The county comprises the municipalities of Emmaboda, Hultsfred, Högsby, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Nybro, Oskarshamn, Torsås, Vimmerby and Västervik, all located in the province of SMÅLAND, and the municipalities of Borgholm and Mörbylånga, both located in the province of ÖLAND.
